...in Suriano Transfer Saga... says the New Jersey Star Ledger today...
...follows up with, "every potential recruit and their parents should remember the next time one of their coaches comes knocking on the door (the message is) "We don't care about you!"... ???
...and later..."Penn State could have sent a powerful message that people are more important than rules"...
... how stupid is that?... and where was this guy when Rutgers QB Tom Savage was blocked from leaving by Greg Schiano...?
...and no reference to Rutgers Coach Scott Goodale poaching a rival team's wrestler...
...oh, well...

The article is stupid as are the Rutgers fans who think that Nick should be given special treatment when it seemingly is not warranted.

Suriano can transfer to any number of schools and compete immediately. If someone has a problem with a Big Ten rule they can call Chicago and bitch to Delany.

Oh gee, why wasn't Cortez permitted to compete for PSU in his first year after transferring from Illinois? Or a thousand other examples that could be cited like your Tom Savage example above..... Just another "sports journalist" proving what a lying, disingenuous, hypocritical, self-righteous fraud he truly is a la Davey Douche-bag Jones, Bozo Bernstein out of Chicago, etc., etc., etc....

Why did Suriano transfer?

Seems to want to leave, so I'd guess he'll transfer somewhere. His preference seems to be to go to RU, which is his home state school. Does anyone know: is he on full scholly? Many wrestlers are not. Also, most other "non-revenue sports" permit kids to attend whatever school they want, without losing eligibility.

Again, through all the gibberish of 1000 posts, what is the actual reason for him wanting to leave?

This is something we need to take seriously. Recruiting is hard enough. We have a rival in a neighboring state with excellent facilities, great athletics, and a rich tradition of....

BWAHAHAHAHA....

Sorry, I couldn't type that with a straight face.

Rutgres. I'm really, really scared.

...the "We don't care about you" statement was particularly disingenuous...
... does anyone here think that Megaludis, Conaway, Gulibon, Retherford, Nolf, Joseph, Taylor, Hall, Ruth, Wright , Brown, Nickal, or Nevills - to name just a few - or their families -would agree?...
...I didn't think so...
