It blew up due to the lack of money being paid out to the members. Let’s also put this in perspective. While they had blow out numbers, for them, of just under 10m the Ohio State Michigan game was just under 20 million.

It's the largest for the Pac XII--that's why the Big Ten took them. If the rest of the Pac XII was comparable they'd have gotten paid. But they're a 3 team league in terms of ratings.
