OT: New MSOC coach

Jeff Cook, from Bethlehem FC and the Phiily Union's U19 academy team. Prior to that, successful head coach at Dartmouth and Cincinnati. His recruiting connections in the eastern part of the state should be strong.

Interesting. I've seen Mr. Cook several times with the Union's U-19 ACAD team, and even talked to him a couple of times. He did an excellent job with the Union's youth development program before he served as the U-19 coach.

He has a nice combination of prior college coaching experience, as well as first-hand experience with how most of the elite soccer players in the US are currently being developed. That could serve him well. Hopefully, he'll hit the ground running in terms of recruiting.

Interesting hire. His record at Dartmouth is nothing spectacular, although they had several tourney appearances, and it tailed off his last few years.

If he's well-liked in the regional soccer community, and has good connections, maybe he can get us an upgrade in talent that should help with the coaching.

He sounds like a soccer equivalent to Chambers.
