Furman now Princeton. Great start to the day. Princeton really outplayed Arizona down the stretch.
Absolutely--most of the games have been really good so far. Iowa/Auburn and NW/Boise are nice lead ins to our game
They earned the 6 seed...they just haven't shown up today. Sometimes I think it's beneficial to be in the playin game as an 11 seed. Sets you up nicely for the 6 seed.
Lots of teams with small fan bases playing far from home and teams with larger fan bases saving their money for the later rounds.
FDU is playing Purdue tough. Looks like they learned from PSU's near comeback. They're pressing all over the court.
I told ya'll few days ago that Purdue would have problems with athletic teams. FDU had quick/fast athletic guards which Purdue could not handle.
Like Lappas said, Purdue played scared in the second half once they fell behind, and most of their players, including Edey, were hesitant to shoot. FDU outplayed them, but the moment became too big for Purdue. Their lack of athleticism was apparent too.
They also lost to St. Peter’s last season, so they’re making a habit of this.
Amazing. Edey had one shot attempt in last six minutes or so.
And FDU won only four games a year ago.
Painter needs to recruit some athleticism for his team. They can do well in the B1G with their roster but it doesn't translate to success in the NCAA tourney.
Edey played fairly well...FDU had a great game plan and Purdue was ice cold for outside. FDU didn't even bother to cover a couple of their guys. Horrible basketball by Purdue but congrats to FDU. They never quit...constant hustle.

He'll probably dominate like he did in college, against weaker and bad strategy and that will be enough. Quicker and smarter will beat him. Like we saw today.
Amazing what happens to any favored Big 10 team come postseason. They suddenly have to overcome not getting the officiating help they are used to in conference, but they've never had to do that before, so they fail. Applies to football as well.
So somehow the officials call things differently when working a Big Ten game than when working an NCAA game?
Edey wasn't the problem yesterday. He didn't have his best game but the tournament is all about matchups. Edey had to try to guard someone 6'7" that drew him away from the basket and then FDU literally refused to cover some of the Purdue shooters and they couldn't hit any threes. The freshman guards choked. Not saying Edey will be a great pro but yesterday wasn't remotely on him. Painter should get some heat though as he didn't adjust at all.
