There does seem to be a logjam at MLB. Smith will probably play outside Initially

Johnson is much better than Farmer imo

The best players need to play. If Smith is both athletically up to the task and knows his role/assignments, then he will play. I think LB is one of those positions where only the elite of the elite can start as freshmen. Parsons was already a grown man, but he had to learn the position. Smith should be able to play right away, I think, but we’ll see about starting.

Keep an eye on Charlie Katshir... looks like he has put on some good weight. He’ll be in the mix and will add some depth along with walk-on Chizmar who was a standout on the practice squad last year.

IMO ... after a year of learning to play the position, CJF will unleash Micah ... combination of Lavar and LT! He will be a force coming off the edge ...
