Michigan’s place in the pecking order

So they are a solid 4th (in the East) this year?

I think that calls for a lifetime contract

Yep, pretty much tells you all you need to know about the current state of Michigan Football. They may have been the "Victors Of The West" but they're 3rd or 4th in the East and appear to be content to be so.

4th in pecking order, but always #1 in "picking" order

Actually, tied for 2nd.

Don't know how the tiebreakers work...PSU overall record better than MSU, but PSU has two division conference losses (OSU and MSU) while MSU has only one (OSU, other B1G loss is Northwestern). If you're talking Division standings, I believe PSU is 3rd after OSU and MSU, especially since PSU lost to MSU.

I think tie breakers are only for reps to the B1G CG. They don't apply for remaining standings. So, PSU and MSU are tied for 2nd in the B1G East regardless of head to head. Had Michigan defeated OSU yesterday, it would have been a three-way tie for 1st in B1G East (but, OSU would have won the tie breaker for rep to the B1G CG).
