Did you know Penn State has been playing B1G Football since 1993? Did you know that's 26 years? That means there have been Americans born, graduated high school, graduated college, are now working and having families of their own. And, they don't have memories of an (ahem) independent Penn State.

That being said, things have changed. Penn State is obligated to NINE conference games. So, our OOC schedule should come from these three areas:

ONE GAME FROM TRADITIONAL OLD SCHOOL EAST COAST TEAMS HOME AND HOME:

PITT
Syracuse
BC
Temple
ND
UVA
MIAMI

THE ACADEMIES HOME AND HOME:

ARMY
NAVY
AIR FORCE

NON TRADITIONAL HOME AND HOME:

Oklahoma
LSU
FSU
and, any powerhouse school that wants to play

A schedule like that combined with our B1G East would even make Saban and Dabo lose sleep.

They would lose sleep because they are obligated to compete for the national championship year in and year out.

What's it been for Penn State? Our last shot was 2005. And, we lost to USC so the argument is moot.

Who cares if Penn State goes 8-4, 9-3 OR even 7-5? Really? Penn State isn't going to be National Championship caliber anytime soon. So, let's open up pur schedule to the academies. It would be nice every 6 years to travel to Colorado for Airforce or Annapolis for Navy. It'd be cool to have UCLA come to the Beav and we go to LA the next year.

Things have changed. My generation is never coming back. Let's have some fun.
