As a fanboy (albeit fair weather fanboy) I read that Harper was speaking to Trout during his free agency and called him before and right after signing. I believed this to mean that Harper and Trout have a blood oath pact to play together from 2021 and beyond. And... you can’t prove that this didn’t happen this way, even if Trout and Harper deny it.

Harper should concentrate on raising his BA from last year’s .249 to .330 to match his contract amount.
