Our defense is the Real Thing. Iowa's offense got dominated -- with the exception of three plays. One of them came after a turnover deep in our territory. One of them was enabled by flagrant holding, not called. Whatever: we have a great defense. Period.
We also have the best player in the country, which is no small thing.
Unfortunately, yes, as usual we have to deal with the likes of O'Neill and his band of B1G fools.
Sorry, I'm soooooo tired of being on the wrong side of biased, idiotic officiating.
As a matter of fact, in big conference games, the people in Las Vegas should factor in, say, 4 or 5 points when calculating the spread. Because that's the advantage we're up against.
Anyway, the main thing is we won. Congratulations to a team that refused to quit and to a coaching staff that ranks among the best in the country.
