Not a bad idea. There have been enough freak injuries that have knocked kickers out of the game over the years. Teams need to be sure they have a backup ready. Why not let him kick during the meaningless preseason games.
Thought the same thing. Kicker gets hurt in first half you need someone to finish the game.
