I dont recall seeing him play today. did anyone notice if he got in on any plays today?

Is that a sign that he's not coming back?
Correct. There have been rumors all season long that he was leaving after this season. He met with agents back in September. Before anyone asks, there are no Links but the writing is on the wall.

Yeah, I saw that he wasn't playing. I guess he has NFL on the mind. Like we've said so many times, he could really benefit from another year. I guess he figures his measurables will get him drafted. His play certainly doesn't warrant it.

not the best place for it probably but speaking of defensive ends that personal foul early in the game on Shaka Toney was a horrible call

Pry said earlier this week that the season didn't go as planned as a team and for some individuals. He mentioned talks with Oweh, Brisker and TCF about possibly returning.

He is a guy that could really use another season.

Just about every mock draft has him going in the first round. Honest question: exactly what kind of development do you think he will get at Penn State next year - if he returns -that he would not get on an NFL roster as a first round draft pick?

He’s not going in the first round...I’d question the credibility of any mock that his him going there today

None, that’s why he is seriously considering leaving. If I was projected in the first round, I would declare rather than be apart of that soft defense for another year.

I very much doubt many PSU fans who have watched him would risk a first round pick for him.
He is still pretty raw and does not appear to have developed much in the way of football instincts.
I guess that doesn’t mean that somebody like Daniel Snyder wouldn’t order his GM to pick him first.

I would a bit of a disappointing season for oweh with regard to pass rush but he played solid against the run all year.

I thought the same thing about Hackenburg, undraftable. Yet someone spent a 2nd rounder on him

Projected first round?? An undersized defensive end who does have freakish speed (IMHO his only upside)....at the next level perhaps utilized as a pass rushing specialist, but he does not get to the quarterback and plays poorly against the run....would benefit from another year.

He isn’t undersized.

Big difference between first round and top 5

I think Jayson Oweh is currently a late first round pick to an early day 2 pick, but if he does in fact decide to stay he could end up being a top five pick in 2022. Oweh has not been the most productive pass rusherwhen it comes to stats, but if you watch the film, he is constantly having the quarterback on skates. NFL teams love players that can apply pressure. – Damond Talbot, NFL Draft

I'm sorry, but you don't come back for another of "development" if you're a projected first round. That's guaranteed millions, and several years to prove yourself while making that money. Sure, MAYBE you move up to top 10 after another year. But I think the odds to do so are much better under Coach Spence than they are under Coach Scott. Color me not impressed with him after year 1.

Oweh is going to put up numbers that exceed 95% of DEs at the combine. Maybe higher.

If the scouts say 1st round, he's gone. Numerous mocks have him listed there in the mid to late 20s (along with Pat F).

Myself, I'd rather him go and be a first round pick that we can recruit off of than come back and risk injury or play not to get hurt like another DE seemed to do at times last year.

You don't know that for sure. Just like the mocks might be wrong. It all depends on how he grades out at the combine. Question the mocks all you want, but the fact is that he is being mentioned by most lists. That's a fact vs your speculation. Simply having your name in these lists right now as a SOPH is telling - the scouts are providing this feedback. He's obviously highly thought of by them.
