I never heard of it before.

"After Wagner trailed the Syracuse Orange 49-0 at halftime inside of the Carrier Dome on Saturday, the Seahawks asked to cut the game short in the second half, which was agreed upon."

I believe Pitt did this with Austin Peay during the Covid season. Not sure what other precedence there is for this, though.

My question is how would this affect point spreads/totals? Do they get nullified in this case?

I “Bet” that someplace in Vegas there’s a book that will give odds on wether a game can be shortened, because of ridiculous scheduling inequality. So the answer is probably no.

It happens here and there. Wagner is the worst team in FCS, with 24 losses in row. They really suck.
