What about the living hell that was made of the lives of those kids that Jerry Sandusky molested since 2001? The damaged lives and destroyed innocence that might have been saved with one phone call? You can spread the blame as far and wide as you want, but nobody else but those PSU coaches and admins had the power to do so much good with so little effort

Are you one of the simple-minded masses? Or a conflicted obfuscator?

The fabrication of the “Penn State Scandal”…..complete with all the bright, shiny objects to divert the attention of the simple-minded – shiny objects like Joe Paterno and Penn State Football – continues.
Meanwhile, the smokescreen remains in place for:
- The abysmal failures of the 2nd Mile leadership (Jack Raykovitz, Bruce Heim and others)
- The continually obfuscating politicos (Jake Corman, Tom Corbett and others)
- The unethical, manipulative behavior of the Judiciary and the Prosecution (Frank Fina, Bruce Beemer and others)
- The utter cesspool of dereliction created by the appropriate state agencies (Children and Youth Services, Department of Public Welfare and others)
- The stranglehold imposed on Penn State by the true cover-up artists - who choose to prostitute the University to serve their own purposes (Rodney Erickson, Kenny Frazier, Eric Barron, Keith Masser and an entire cabal of Scoundrels)
And yet, so few voices here in our own community have been willing to speak out for the truth. Even as more and more evidence emerges as to the true nature of this “Scandal”.
Are so many among us simply that apathetic? Or, are so many too duplicitous (and too conflicted) to speak out for the truth?

Your own side, as represented by Keith Masser and Kenneth Frazier, admitted in court depositions that they scapegoated Coach Paterno by firing him for public relations reasons and not because of anything he had or had not done.
By the way, I just completed mandatory sexual harassment training for UC Irvine (I teach courses over the Internet, but all instructors are required to take the course online regardless of their location). It said explicitly that a person to whom an incident of sexual harassment or abuse is reported is not to conduct his own investigation, i.e. he is not to "do more" as people have said Joe Paterno should have done. I'm pretty sure the policy was the same at Penn State in 2001 or whenever, and the NCAA in fact issued a similar policy. You are to report, or encourage the complainant to report, to a specific counselor or Title 9 coordinator, and then keep your hands off the matter, which is what Joe Paterno did.
We are far from done with the remaining pieces of trash who ruined Joe's legacy along with Penn State's reputation. Most of the scum have already (figuratively speaking) had their faces shoved into their own excrement, and we are far from finished with the others.
Someone needs to tell Ms. Butterball that her ignorance of the facts points the spotlight towards the people who did everything they were supposed to, and away from the "experts" at DPW/CYS/TSM who actually failed those kids. If we can't expose them, we can't fix their problems, and that will only lead to future abuse. She is enabling this.
