Football GAMEDAY THREAD: Penn State Football vs. Maryland

Flea flicker throw past everyone including Washington. As someone already noted in another thread, not many 50-50 balls from Clifford as he pretty consistantly over throws them and makes them 0-0 balls........

Penn State's second drive started storng with Nick Singleton's run but Sean Clifford's overthrow essentially halted momentum, Nick Singleton had a drop on second down that likely wouldn't have gone for much. Nittany Lions punt.

Intrigued to see how the offense looks with the deep ball next year if Allar continues to show the accuracy he has so far. Parker Washington was open on both overthrows thus far and both should've been touchdowns.

Those are the type of missed opportunities I believe has hurt Penn State most over the Clifford era. Going up 14-0 within the first minute would've been huge, especially with how the defense is swarming. Could've had Maryland on their heels early.

That being said, Maryland starts their next drive at their own 24.

Time for Allar. He could make every throw Clifford has…..and probably the two throwing touchdowns Clifford left on the board. Well…..one so far. We’ll see how this drive goes.

We have execute on the deep ball it would make our offense so much more explosive

Another drive, another three-and-out for Penn State's defense. Well, technically Maryland's second drive was a two-and-out. EIther way, Nittany Lions set to get the ball back for the third time in the first 10 minutes.

What happened to MD's OL? They went head to head with Michigan.

KLS open on 3rd down and Clifford air mails it. 2 0f 7 so far.

Oh, don't want to be a negative nelly.......

Despite the 14-0 lead, very rough day for Clifford thus far. He's 3-for-8 for 21 yards. including three poor throws, two that would've resulted in touchdowns, and one in a first down. Nittany Lions eventually scored after the first over throw but failed to do so after the second.

I hope Cifford comes around so far he is having a terrible day

Penn State is racking up sacks quicker than I can type.

Abdul Carter gets one, he now leads the team with 3.5. Ji'Ayir Brown then picked up sack No.4 of the day and the third of his season.
