First of all let me start with a disclaimer for our Hawk friends... Gable is still the gold standard in coaching wrestling. I can't say enough positive comments about him and his contributions to wrestling.
That said, I was surprised that his interview at NCAAs didn't get more play here and on HR when he said "I don't know if wrestling is fun". Yes, it easier to have fun when you are winning but Cael really has developed a new paradigm. Is it that hard to believe that hard work and dedication can be combined with fun (and dodgeball)? Anyway, my margarita induced post is over. Go Penn State!

This is exactly why elite recruits want to come to PSU....Other programs make wrestling a grind and you start to hate it after 2 years....Just ask some big time wrestlers from other programs who have graduated and they will tell you.....It's a whole different world at PSU where you get a great quality education and WRESTLING IS FUN !!!! DYNASTY FOR MANY YEARS TO COME....
What happened in 2015? It appears that Cael conceded that nobody could catch Ohio St that year. Here are four top ten teams overall top 100 recruits on their rosters:

Yea, that's the team that was supposed to be contending for the title with 4-5 finalist. Just an awful NCAA performance by the Gophers. A lot of coaches would of been on the hot seat for finishing that low with that much talent.
You must be thinking of a different team or a different year. Minny wrestled the following top 100 recruits at NCAA's:
