fc Nickorater on before season signing date, why would a kid play his SR year?

Of course Nick would think like that because he'd pull any offer to a kid who would get hurt his senior year. A signing day before the season doesn't give him that option if the kid gets hurt.

Most kids dominate so easily in high school that they'd never consider skipping a whole season... maybe a game a two late in the year if they are banged up and out of the playoffs.

he makes a good point. If they decide to move the signing date to before the season, why risk injury? He says kids are skipping bowl games in college to get ready for the pros, so why not skip your SR yr if they move up the signing date to before the season??

It's a good thing that Nick Lou is a terrific football coach and doesn't have to make a living that calls for the use of a higher level of intelligence. What prevents a Top 50/100/you pick a number high school prospect from skipping his senior season now? Not only do they risk injury, but they could have a poor year on the field and diminish their status.

If they have already earned the scholarship, they probably shouldn't play. He fails to see that he is a part of the problem. Folks have to offer earlier because he's paying. Boo hoo, Satan.
