Does Duzz get the axe this week?

Duzz is not getting fired. It a non starter. He still has 7 years left on his contract and Pitt simply can not afford to buy that out.

Duzz is similar to JF in that their respective buyouts are way more than either university is going to pay, so they both stay. No oil rich crazies like at A&M.

Wait, I thought MSU wanted to hire him? Or can they not have someone with hands in the Nasser scandal around?

Pitt is happy to have a coach that isn't looking to leave after 2 seasons. It's gonna take a lot worse for the axe to fall.

If so, and Manny gets a HC job, does JF consider Duzz for DC? What would be the reaction to that?
NO! NO! NO! Duzz might be decent as a DC for X's and O's. However, he is a toxic recruiter and his presence would result in us losing recruits. We don't want Duzz at Penn State.

As much as we love to crap on Duzz, wouldn’t he be the perfect marriage for Franklin? One can recruit like hell and run a sexy PR campaign, but can’t scheme how to make a ham sandwich. The other is a grouchy bastard who hates recruiting but is a great X’s and O’s guy.

Why is Narduzzi a great X’s and O’s Guy?

1.Well he’s on record as saying that he spends virtually all his coaching time with the defense.
2. Thus he puts the offense in control of the OC.
3. The only time he’s had really good teams is when he’s had a good offense. Please refer to item 2 above.
4. Without a decent offense (once again item 2 is controlling) his defense schemes are subject as he loses multiple games in those years.
5. His failure to master 1/2 of the game plan while ignoring the other doesn’t exactly scream a mastery of X’s and O’s.
