Nice short article by Dave. I for one am all one board for at least 1 top out of area HOME game per year. We who go to games pay quite a bit of money and games this year have been great
and fortunately weather has cooperated. Next year;s home out of conference schedule in a word STINKS. It is hard to imagine driving over 5 hours to see us crush Delaware or some other cupcake. I can accept 1 cupcake game per year but we should not be playing teams like villanova often and definitely not too terrible matchups in a month of September, when weather is so nice. I would rather have us play a great team at least 1 out of conference game per year. One advantage if playoffs do expand that I believe a loss against a really good team would NOT exclude you from consideration. We have like 1 open date in next 4 or 5 years and except for auburn next year and W. Virginia, a good opponent, in 2023 and 2024, our out of conference schedule is HORRIBLE. Is there any way we can as board members put pressure on athletic dept to have better opponents.
