I saw that tagline more than once while perusing today's Fake News. It's ironic. Mayor Lightfoot wants to ban AR-15s when none of the weekend's gun violence is attributable to them. Conversely, her police commissioner David Brown says we must keep violent criminals behind bars. So Chicago is hardly the 'tale of two cities' as it is the tale of two stories; the first being outright deception and obfuscation, and the second being on point.

I will take Commissioner Brown's position a step further. We can no longer afford to 'house' these people anymore, especially when China is kicking the $hit out of us economically. Therefore, some tough decisions must be made about the dregs of society. Just recently we turned two common criminals into martyrs by holding national funerals and by perpetuating a false narrative the crime statistics do not support. We have only three months to reverse the national discourse or we are doomed.

    Thank you.

The trying to take AR-15s out of the hands of lawful citizens when they are not the cause of the problem is the liberal platform in a nutshell. Make everybody equal, not by raising the lot of the downtrodden, but by lowering the lot of the successful. Make convenient excuses for some groups while not giving them the tools to lift themselves up. As long as the votes keep coming from said groups, it is a success that perpetuates itself. That is liberal equality and justice.
