Football Bears Asst. DL coach Justin Hinds staying in NFL

The rumored front runner for the open Penn State Football D-Line coach job, Justin Hinds is reportedly staying in the NFL with the Bears, as PSU will have to look elsewhere to fill the opening.
It would have been a downgrade. Dodged a bullet

Under Franklin, we have had several recruiting weak spots which has led to multiple holes in the roster that have lowered the ceiling of the team, two of which are defensive end and defensive tackle. We recruit edge defenders very well, but not typical 5 technique players which we completely lack and have lacked since Gross-Matos left. We don't recruit interior D--linemen well at all. The two combined has cost us many games since the line's high point in 2015. The position alone cost us three games in 2021. Bringing in a good NFL line coach is the best thing we could do with the position because we will have to sign better talent than we sign right now but also develop it, something that has been lacking since LJ Sr.
