When I was 22 I dated one of the girls who is now coming forward. She was 20. We only dated for about 3 months when it ended abruptly (and strangely - though It would make more sense later). Little did I know that she was in the middle of a 7 year relationship with her coach (started when she was 17). I only found out about her experience about 5 years ago in a USA Today story.
This guy sounded like quite the Svengali and I’m sure now he forced her to break up with me. USA Swimming is a mess right now.
