It’s appropriate the Gov was waxing his muscle car from the 1970s yesterday, because NYC is headed back there.

Wonderful Utopia of woke Democrats. They are showing the way in New York as to how to handle crime and the covid virus.

If they take more money from the police, surely this number will go down

Should note how incorrect and far off the projections of your math expert were in your thread: " You all know I love math as a means of simplifying a situation. How about with Corona?"

    Your expert Specht projected

At a 10% hospitalization rate, all hospital beds in the U.S. will be filled by about May 10. And with many patients requiring weeks of care, turnover will slow to a crawl as beds fill with Covid-19 patients."

If I’m wrong by a factor of two regarding the fraction of severe cases, that only changes the timeline of bed saturation by six days (one doubling time) in either direction. If 20% of cases require hospitalization, we run out of beds by about May 4. If only 5% of cases require it, we can make it until about May 16, and a 2.5% rate gets us to May 22." https://www.statnews.com/2020/03/10/simple-math-alarming-answers-covid-19/

Turned out to be typical Leftie scaremongering. Undoubtedly, she will continue on with no penalty in Left world for being wrong and simple minded.

Wow blasting the governor for washing his car. A governor washing his car means they could care less about crime?? And you say the left makes stupid comments.

I didn't blast him for washing his car. I blasted him for the high number of Covid deaths in NY and for the inattention to crime.

I mean, if you are desperate to credit NYC’s initial struggle with coronavirus to someone, it goes to De Blasio. The recovery, as evidenced in the graph, is Cuomo’s.

How do you "recover" when the states that have the most current cases have 1/10th the deaths that of NY?

    Are you really defending that?

NY’s recovery isnt measured to another state’s situation. It is measured against where it was in NY. Because that’s what recovery means. Why do I need to explain things that you obviously already know?

The cool thing about speaking in generalities is that you can almost always look back in retrospect and think you were sort of right.

Cuomo sent the covid infected patients into the nursing homes. That's his signature on the order.

Did you see the guy, walking his seven year old down the street, get executed. Horrible. I’d rather live in Winslow AZ than NY right now. And Chicago, la, Philly Seattle, Portland... ain’t far being.

Wow. That's some serious deflection..... 32,000+ deaths stand on their own and shouldn't be compared to anything......... OK.... LOL...

How’d they do on this measure:
Sent covid patients back into the most vulnerable population in nursing homes even though there were hundreds of available beds in the navy hospital ship and Javits : Yes
One doesn’t need retrospect to know it’s a bad idea to send covid people into nursing homes. It goes against common sense. It’s amazing to watch you try to rationalize that INSANE move.

No one asked you to live here. In either case, it won’t change that awful violent crimes happen to innocent people everywhere in the world. They happen in NYC in at historically low rates. Of course, you can also take a single event or a small slice of time and pretend that it makes a trend. That’s called an agenda.

I’m sure he and history will see that as a mistake that was made. I think you’ll be hard-pressed to find any policy maker with a flawless response.

Your blind spot is that you are cackling about shit that happened months ago in a state that now has record lows while other elected officials are making much larger mistakes resulting in large swaths of the country back-sliding into record highs. And all because you are politically biased.

Same could be said about the Chauvin murder of George Floyd. White people like Tony Timba and Daniel Shaver were mercilessly killed by the police.

Additionally, thanks to lunatic Dem policies crime has recently spiked in NY.
