It’s been a strong Research location for a long time. Anybody know all the advancements that came just from the ‘water tunnel’ for the USN? It was a big deal back in the 70s.

You must remember that we aren’t allowed to feel good about PSU. Nothing good happens there unless it’s by accident, in which case it will never be repeated.

my father was assistant director and head of developmental engineering at ARL previously ORL. He moved from Harvard with Eric Walker after WW2 to move the lab from Harvard to PSU.

his baby was the Mark 48 torpedo.
