Florida St. fires HC Taggart! Good-bye Willie!!!

He was a sub .500 coach before coming to FSU. He had one 7-5 season at a P5 school, no conference championships, and twice the number of 10 loss seasons (2) as 10 win seasons. FSU stated they were looking to hire a black HC from the outset. Without that being part of the criteria there’s no way...

Jerry Sandusky case prompts colleges to more tightly monitor interaction with minors

Funny, I always thought the bar was set at “we’re confident (target of investigation) committed a crime” or nothing at all? It was set there, in part, because you’re correct that people tend to believe what they’re comfortable with. Often that’s what they hear first. FWIW, I’m guessing not...

Wow, Bob Ley skewers Urbs and OSU

They’ve already claimed Urbs has early onset Alzheimer’s and his meds make him forgetful. They’re not getting rid of another top 5 coach inside of a decade unless there’s video of Meyer holding Zack Smith’s beer as he roughs up his wife.

    OT/FC: New JZ Audio

Did you forget about the shield laws in place? There’s a reason everyone but Ziegler avoids using names. FTR I’m just pointing out flawed logic not making an argument for it.

OT: 2 Hours of JZ (audio link)

Because she’s in total denial having been there as Jerry built a life that allowed him to sexually abuse boys. This is more willful ignorance. It’s the easiest thing in the world understand why she’s invested in believing he’s innocent. No matter where she goes or what she does this going to...

OT: FYI, JZ says Newsweek article is still a go. (edit: Story now spiked)

This is why people shouldn’t pay attention to Ziegler’s drivel. Nobody actually believes they were convinced Jerry’s behavior was completely innocent. It was inconvenient for them to report it to DPW so they attempted to deal with it themselves. Otherwise they would have in a heartbeat and...

OT: FYI, JZ says Newsweek article is still a go. (edit: Story now spiked)

It’s a fact that Schultz testified under oath he told Spanier about 98. Spanier’s lawyers didn’t contest it in anyway. It’s a fact that Spanier replied to an email in 2001 that referenced the 98 incident. It’s a fact that any reasonable discussion on how to deal with the situation in 2001...

Maybe that had something to do with Curley protecting poor Jerry?

You apparently don’t know what an opinion is. The desperate need of grown men to hold on to their heroes is downright creepy.

All the time spent listening to Ziegler’s straw man arguments has rotted your brain.

Does he shower alone with kids, and hug them during said showers, is a more relevant question.

Schultz told him about it personally. Stop acting like he was just copied in on an email. Spanier’s lawyers would have made sure the jury knew it was just emails if that were the case. There’s an email that Spanier replied to in 2001 that includes “I would inform him we’re aware of the first...

OT: FYI, JZ says Newsweek article is still a go. (edit: Story now spiked)

There is no interpretation: ‘Schultz also testified that he told Spanier more than once of a similar 1998 incident involving Sandusky. Prosecutors presented an email chain discussing the incident, on which Spanier was copied. "It was important and the president should hear about it, and he...

OT: FYI, JZ says Newsweek article is still a go. (edit: Story now spiked)

It’s not up for interpretation. From the New Yorker: Spanier’s memory of the 1998 incident: I have no recollection. I am aware, as I said in my letter to the board of trustees, that I was apparently copied on two e-mails. I didn’t reply to them. The first e-mail that I saw didn’t mention...

He denied ever being told about 98 repeatedly. Do you think he told Snedden something different than the GJ, Freeh, and the New Yorker? Schultz testified he personally told Spanier more than once about it. The prosecution wasn’t asking those questions for shits and gigs.

OT: FYI, JZ says Newsweek article is still a go. (edit: Story now spiked)

There’s no speculation involved. Schultz did in fact testify that he personally told Spanier about the 98 incident more than once. They asked Schultz those questions for a reason. Putting Snedden on the stand would have ended in total embarrassment.

OT: FYI, JZ says Newsweek article is still a go. (edit: Story now spiked)

It’s not speculation. Spanier lied to Snedden and Schultz exposed it on the stand.

No. It was a cinematic version of his hindsight quote.
