Trustee Kay Salvino: “The Alumni Assoc is not in the business of getting students scholarships."

Jim Smith you forgot our lovely blue "book bag" that we got at the meeting. And the nasty chocolate chip cookies that came at Christmas.

That is a question several of us would like to have answered.

    Help needed

It is that time of year again. The alumni council of your alumni association is meeting again this month. I have a little favor to ask of everyone. I was at a Spike baseball game this summer and it was brought to my attention that our alumni association is a corporate sponsor and season ticket...

Alumni Council election info, and PSAAforAll candidate endorsements

Mary I will ask Paul Clifford and the others in charge if we are allowed to share it. But we were already told, when it first was released, that we shouldn't.

Alumni Council election info, and PSAAforAll candidate endorsements

As an alumni council member I cannot endorse any candidates for this upcoming election. I just needed to get that little public service announcement out of the way. And as a council member you folks elected last year from the PSAA for All slate I apologize for not getting back here sooner to...

What should be the role of Alumni Association in the 50th Anniversary of the Grand Experiment?

I would like to see the "alumni" involved in celebrating everything about JVP and the Paterno family. An entire issue of the Penn Stater would be a start. I agree that the PSAA has turned their back on the Paternos and the alumni that helped build them to what they are now. Sadly the PSAA will...

    PSAA update February 2016

I wish I had something to update everyone with. The PSAA is very quiet right now. Aside for asking for donations and sending holiday gifts we get very little correspondence from the alumni association. Some chatter welcoming the new CEO Paul Clifford to the PSAA. The elections are gearing up...

My reflections of the first PSAA alumni council meeting last week.

This is my first installment of my reflections of the alumni council meeting I attended for the first time last Thursday and Friday at main campus. The first question many of us were asked during orientation was “were you elected or were you appointed?” ie were you hand picked by the powers...

6 Resolutions to begin returning PSAA to the alumni

I will be supporting these resolutions at the council meeting. I hope anyone that knows a present council member will let them know they support these bylaw changes.

So what is going on with the PSAA alumni council?

We didn't forget our pledge to keep everyone updated. So all that has happened so far is that we were sent a survey to inquire as to which committees we think we would be interested in serving on. We could pick our top 3 and also pick one we didn't want to serve on. What was really interesting...

David Paterno announces PSAAforAll slate for Alumni Council election

I want to thank everyone that voted in this alumni council election. I especially want to thank Tom McAndrew for his support here on this forum. 9 of our 10 candidates made the alumni council. Thank you all so much. And now it is time to get to work and return the alumni association to the alumni.

David Paterno announces PSAAforAll slate for Alumni Council election

Thank you to everyone that is supporting the slate. We the alumni need to regain control of our alumni association away from yet again another controlling "executive committee."

The Alumni Council is going the way of the Old Guard Trustees.

Has anyone had any trouble getting their ballots? We have heard stories from several people of getting alumni trustee ballots when requesting their alumni council ballots.

The Alumni Council is going the way of the Old Guard Trustees.

The support here is wonderful. This election is so important. The alumni council is going the way of the Old Guard trustees, insular and self perpetuating. Their bylaw changes that prevent the alumni association members from self nominating or even collecting 50 signatures from their fellow...
