Nothing I've read indicates that Curley, Schultz and Spanier ever discussed the need to protect the Penn State "brand" or the football program. Maybe if Spanier had considered that he would have taken different action.
Of course they believed that. It's a convenient motive to explain why Curley, Schultz, and Spanier did what they did. But there is no evidence of a "coverup." They may be guilty of monumental stupidity, but not a coverup.
Seems like some good folks are remaining, so why not? Besides, my A1-C will skyrocket if I continue to read Bauer's confections. Maybe the new publishers here will adopt a more balanced stance.
As for the newbs, I prefer to draw and quarter them.
Really don't understand why these writers overlook the $1mm insurance "loan" that really isn't a loan. There is a reason why the future "loans" are included in the amount of Franklin's buyout.
But it begins with love and ends with love, dontcha know? Ya don't? Well take a tour of Lasch. PSU is spending $100mm to plaster that drivel all over the walls.
Not sure that I follow you. Sole of objective of my suggestion is to have someone independent (i.e. not employed by) of PSU to keep it on file. Would not expect the recipeint to do more.
Courtney was the only person I could think of. I'm not married to him if you have a better choice.
