The world is once-again seeing the consequences of too much power being in the hands of a small, corrupt "elite" which is what you always get when the left is in charge. Socialism seems like a good idea when an adorable grandfather-type like Bernie Sanders is promising to forgive your student loan debt, but his ideology is dangerous and inevitably leads to a fascist system like we currently see in Russia. The Russian people have no rights and no ability to oppose the government which runs their economy, their society and controls the information they see.
The left will be the big loser in this tragic chapter in history if people begin to make a clear distinction between the side which advocates:
free speech
the second amendment
limited government power
free-market capitalism
a strong United States
(conservatives)
and the side which tramples on these ideals in the pursuit of more centralized political power for themselves
