Locally, we've had a ton of people begin to claim that they are "Sovereign Citizens". I've not paid attention but found out yesterday that this has become a common claim in courts in NE Ohio. Almost all of them are immigrants, typically people who got into the USA claiming to be refugees. And almost all of these are from the Middle East.
A common event is that they will get pulled over for not having a plate on their car and then found to not be carrying a license. They claim that they do not recognize the USA govt and are not bound by her laws. You can even buy Sovereign Citizen plates on Amazon.
This movement seems to be growing very rapidly. Anyone experience this?
