This made me remember that I attended a big show where Dell was presenting their latest breakthrough in networked PC servers. There were at least 100 people in the room. Young dude shares his desktop on the big screen and just as he begins his presentation, a pop up appears with some porn. great demo of Microsoft's crappy Internet Explorer product and its lack of security. I. was told the guy was fired the next day.

We had a HS biology teacher that liked to put in VHS tapes of animal planet type content and then leave the room for extended periods. When he returned one time, someone had switched the tape with a porno. But hey, biology, right?

Another kid had the same type of VCR at home and brought in his remote sometimes. Occasionally when the teacher put in the tapes, that student would pause, fast-forward, or rewind at random when our bio teacher had his back to him. That teacher couldn't understand why so many of the VCRs he'd get from the AV room had a mind of their own.

Looking back, I feel bad for that teacher. He seemed like a good guy. He just had very little control of the classroom.

Maybe a break. The kids in this particular class were brutal. They also ran a fishing line across the room in the path that he walked and when he walked backwards, they tightened it up and almost tripped him and then drop the line. It was pretty bad.

In the early days of the internet me and a few media planning colleagues were invited to the offices of the Publishers of Penthouse. The overt purpose was to showcase their interactive content and the "future" of the digital magazine.

We were in mixed company, and our boss was a female. Much like in Obli's story...the idea of simple photos a la the magazine went by the wayside.

When things got too steamy the tech guy running the computer tried to slow down...but the "options" that you could pick from got more and more XXX.

He said "I don't know what's happening...it's like the mouse has a mind of its' own!"

Maybe it uploaded a sequence he had already viewed. We smirked but boss lady was pissed. End of meeting!

This thread reminds of Kim Cattrall in Porky's.
