Clinton was impeached for having an affair and then lying for trying to cover it up. Trump was never impeached for his alleged sexual misconduct and the allegations against him are way worse. I disagree with you about Trump's crimes being less obvious.
You want to criminalize speech? I just want to clarify that you want to jail politicians who you think may have lied? Good luck with that. 2020 was the least secure election in our nation's history with all kinds of irregularities, last minute changes to election laws, lies from Biden and 51 intelligence officers about Hunter's laptop being Russian disinformation when the laptop itself had been in the FBI's possession and confirmed authentic well before their claims. If you want to hold a politician and any other citizens accountable for lying, then Biden should be in jail right now for active election interference and deceiving the American people.
Let me warn you though, if we as a country go down this path of criminalizing speech, then we are no longer free. They can come for you anytime for any reason.
Lying is protected speech. Trump was allowed to say he won the election even if he knew he did not. However, if he knew he was lying, he could not take the actions that he did. If you take actions based upon a known lie, it becomes a fraudulent action. That is where the rubber hits the road.
One thing for certain that has been proven that would have changed the results in a tight election where Trump lead swing states until they stopped counting late at night in a coordinated fashion was the illegal suppression of the hunter Biden laptop story and contents by 51 intelligence officials and the fbi that had possession of the laptop and confirmed its authenticity while Joe Biden lied about ot being Russian disinformation and government officials instructed social media companies to censor the story based on the intelligence officials lies about it being Russian disinformation.
Which actions? Attempting to get national guard support for the events that democrats denied? Telling protestors to go and be heard peacefully?
Jan 6th was a false flag operation led by the fbi and security (responsibility for this was Pelosi who denied the national guard) was intentionally lax. Most video from the event shows unarmed protesters being let into the building and following the roped off path like they were on a tour. Other video that was shown by the senate committee (of democrats) was edited and sensationalized by producers. The agitators and provocatours were fbi agents and they were mysteriously removed from lists of people who were to be investigated and prosecuted.

Trump alleged discretions were all at least a decade before he took office and none were ever proven in a court of law.

The Wisconsin State Supreme Court has ruled that the drop boxes used in the 2020 elections were against the state constitution.
In Pa only the state legislature can establish elections rules and laws. Yet the Pa Sec State changed several laws in the fall of 2020.
In Georgia there were thousand of people that voted in the wrong precinct, a couple thousand convicted felons, and more.
In Arizona thousands of people lost their right to vote when the machines failed because they were using the wrong paper.

Trump was accused of rape in a civil action and it was proven by clear and convincing evidence in a court of law. The clear and convincing standard (the jury was approximately 75% convinced that he raped her) is a greater standard than the normal standard in a civil case. So you are 100% wrong that it was never proven in court. The only reason he is not being charged criminally is because the statute of limitations for the criminal case has passed. The mere fact that it didn’t happen during his presidency doesn’t make him less of a rapist.
The point of my post about Clinton’s impeachment was to rebut your earlier post which alleged that the Republicans never went after the Clintons, which is simply not true.
