It wasn't pretty, it wasn't easy but Penn State finally got back into the win column on Saturday against Maryland.

So Lee had 50 yards on only 8 carrie. So why not more? He was lookin good and they took him out and put in Cain. Don’t tell it’s ball security as he fumbled early in the season but has looked good since. Was it pass protection? Did he miss some blocks?

Going to have to go back and rewatch to see what I can pick up there but I definitely think they need to pick one guy at this point. Think the rotation isn't helping at all with the struggles.

What was Tony Hunts 40? Or Evan Royster? Or Zack Zwinak?

The guy was their best back last year, he’s their best back this year but Franklins stubbornness keeps this stupid rotation going every week. It makes 0 sense. Feed the ball to 24, 24 times a game and let him wear down opponents like Hunt did…he doesn’t have to have 4.4 speed to be effective.

The guy was their best back last year, he’s their best back this year but Franklins stubbornness keeps this stupid rotation going every week. It makes 0 sense. Feed the ball to 24, 24 times a game and let him wear down opponents like Hunt did…he doesn’t have to have 4.4 speed to be effective.

Cain is clearly the best blocking back but it makes no sense to keep Lee out of the game as much as they do.

I would agree to increase his carries into the 15-20 range and disagree with Franklin’s rotation. But to be an ny6 to a playoff team you must have a homerun hitter at rb. It does not work any other way in cfb.

Yep. Barkley, Miles, JB…..all had the ability to take it to the house from anywhere. Cain was never a burner and is now a shell of himself out there because of injuries. He does a nice job blocking and does a nice job catching the ball out of the backfield. Lee is also slow and Lovett thinks he is Barry sanders. In all actuality we have no backs and need singleton in the worst way.
