Wow, 7 weeks from one fight to the next. That is pretty quick.

And Makhachev vs Poirier is the co-main event with Sean Strickland vs Paulo Costa.

As a follow up, I just saw this interview of Bo by Ariel Helwani where the possibility of fighting Jacob Malkoun was mentioned. Interesting that Bo said (around 21 minute mark) he doesn't view Malkoun as a step up from his last opponent so that fight doesn't make sense for his progression. He also said earlier in the interview that he wanted to fight next in July or August.

Obviously the UFC had other plans.

It certainly hasn’t been confirmed by the UFC and isn’t included in the full fight card linked below. Seems the rumor was started by Malkoun’s tweet claiming Bo agreed to the fight and other MMA sources have just assumed it is true.

Bo sits w/ Bryce Meredith in place of Ant the Champ, breaks down trials in the 2nd half, and reveals that when Jason got hurt vs Rutgers, he tore his MCL, PCL and Meniscus. 😮 Also says Jason "wasn't right" for match 2 vs Dake, but wouldn't go into detail.

Not remotely shocked at the severity of Nolf's injury. Remember feeling like vomiting seeing it happen and Nolf's reaction. How that referee let that position continue was a fireable offense.
