Good grief. Head meet sand. If she is perplexed, then her institute must be looking at the bulk averages, which make it look like the economy is doing well because the rich have gotten richer via the explosion of the money supply.
Look at her background -- a well-trained lefty -- indicative of the types that have overrun the Democratic Party.

It is perplexing,” she says. “A conundrum economists will study for many years. Sometimes I wish I had a Ph.D. in psychology rather than in economics. The pandemic we have been through for four years has had a tremendous impact. Inflation is moderating, but price levels are still higher than prepandemic, and that may be having an impact on people’s lives. ”
