It's actually a depressing movie imo. Funny, but sad. John Candy delivered an excellent performance. Steve Martin was Steve Martin.

BTW, Glen Campbell gave Steve Martin his first break in show biz as a writer on the Goodtime Hour. Steve was always thankful and gracious for the opportunity and (because of his banjo skills) had mad respect for Glen.
