With the way Cael likes to change the landscape I really wish he would push for girls wrestling at PSU. We have Helen and Jane at NLWC who could certainly become coaches as well.

We have girls like Tif ranked in the nation leaving to go elsewhere because LHU and Gannon are not where they want to wrestle in state. She would love to be at PSU and only lives 1/2 hour away!

Not only Tiff but also Grace Stem who is nationally ranked lives 20 minutes away. Then add in the girls pipeline from Wyoming Sem! PSU could win both mens and women's wrestling championships!

According to the CDT: "Penn State is on pace to see athletic department revenue decline by about $60 million this fiscal year while operating at about a $35 million loss, a significant impact that was characterized as close to a best-case scenario during the pandemic, according to Athletic Director Sandy Barbour."

Unless someone has very deep sofa cushions, Penn State is not adding women's wrestling any time soon.

If you can wrestle at M2/NLWC and go to Penn State at the same time, you’re probably looking at wrestling at a higher level than what collegiate wrestling currently offers women. Put another way, if you’re willing to sacrifice collegiate eligibility and get paid by NLWC in lieu of a scholarship from PSU, you’ll be doing well.

I doubt that the NLWC pays enough to be able to pay for Penn State, living expenses, and training at the same time.

We need to wait at least a year for Iowa and Ohio State fans to lose their houses at the Lupert Nittany Mall Casino.

Who’s to say Cael isn’t already pushing for women’s wrestling? It certainly seems like he supports it. Unfortunately, as we’ve seen with Stanford, Iowa, and many other large institutions, college athletic departments are currently in scale-down mode, and the decisions are coming from the top. Women’s wrestling doesn’t have a prayer of gaining critical mass in this environment. My $.02.

It's cheaper to buy stock when it's in a low ;)
