this has been in the bottom dweller group since joining the league. Just saw a guy billed as the top ILB in the country going to Md??? choosing between Tenn, da U and Md??

if you are the #1 - Bama, LSU, Clemson, OSU, etc. .... not Terps. Wow

Your answer was in another thread. Apparently, decomitted from TN hoping to go to Auburn. With Malzahn fired, no go, so tried to go back to TN. They said thanks, but no thanks. Then he was spurned by Miami, leading to Maryland. Someone said he couldn't explain why he chose Maryland. Someone also said he got kicked out of his HS and has character issues.

“Character issues” is a generous descriptor. Talented player, but I suspect his female professors at UMD will be hoping that their classes stay remote.

so the people running this top 100 recruit show were very deceptive. he had 3 hats (Md, da U and Tenn), so it sounds like the only actual one he had the offer to commit to was Md. I thought Locksley had some standards on player character.

Locksley is a strong recruiter but pretty much a steaming pile of crap as a head coach. 8-43 doesn’t happen by accident

It’s public knowledge he was kicked out of two high schools and assaulted a female teacher at Miami Northwestern.

I suspect Narduzzi enthusiastically recruited him. He would fit right in with the gang at pitt.

Pretty sure Stafon Diggs was a 5 star prospect when he signed with Maryland.
Bit of a different animal, though, because he's a local kid. Same with Jarrett. Maryland's always landed the stray five star from the DMV over the years by selling the "stay home" angle. The kid from Miami is a different situation.

Yeah, this kid from Miami is indeed a different situation. Not often you hear of a local blue chip talent in South Florida spurned by The U, because of character issues. Plenty of time for this kid to find more trouble before he steps on College Park campus.

Wasn't there a poster here that keeps harping on the fact that 5*'s that go to Alabama and OSU to sit on the bench behind other 5*'s are better served going to places where they can start immediately?

They have a terrific mathematics department.
