Mr. Tate Orndorff had a decent weekend, knocking #4 Jordan Wood, and also beating #9 Tanner Hall.

There was one other match that was ALMOST an upset, but the Luke Pletcher of Ohio State knocked off #14 Real Woods of Stanford in SV-1. Look for Woods to have a REAL big year!

Colton Yapoujian beat Zach Hartman yesterday as well. I can't imagine that this wasn't an upset for wrestlestat with it being his first rostered collegiate action and his best win at the Finger Lakes RTC was over #43 Santoro (who he also lost to).

He is rostered for Cornell although he competed unattached yesterday. Not sure how that works with the Ivy rule though, but it's Cornell so litigation is always a possibility.

BTW, he also beat the Hartman from Army who is no slouch and Jon Ross by MD in the finals.

@andegre I just put 2+2 together: Flo’s new design is a total WS rip-off. Do you guys have Cornell level lawyers?

I saw Darmstadt lost to DePrez. Not an official upset, but a surprising result to this human.

I was there. Darmstadt with the first TD out of a funk and used his 6'10" frame to spider man ride the first period out. Although Darmstadt was having to work very hard just to ride.

Deprez takes neutral and grinds out a TD after neutralizing Darmstadt's funk. Deprez is solid on top and after a tough ride Darmstadt got frustrated and tried a funky roll which turned into a turk for Deprez for 2 NF.
Darmstadt takes top for 3rd and Deprez is out in 10 seconds. Match over, Darmstadt broke. Easy TD for Deprez and then he ground him into the mat.

Deprez is a tank and a grinder. Not a ton of variety but excellent at what he does. Darmstadt has that funky body type and style that can cause anyone problems, but also leaves you vulnerable when you cant dictate with your top game. Hes very dangerous but him losing to guys ranked below him is not surprising to me.
