Washington has the #1 Rush Defense

The Washington fanbase seems very excited about a whole month to make pedophile jokes. Hope we boat race them.
If they do, be sure to ask their thoughts on Washington's employment policy for self-admitted pedophiles.

UW employee charged for child porn – and still works on campus
By: Amy Clancy
Jul 2, 2013

KIRO 7 was the first to reveal that an information technology specialist at the University of Washington was being investigated on suspicion he had child porn.

Now, criminal charges have been filed against Evan Guros, 33, who admitted to police that he possessed "a couple hundred thousand images of children," the charges state.

Though he's been charged with felony possession of child porn, the UW is letting him keep his job. A university spokesman said he poses no risk on campus to clients.

Documents obtained by KIRO 7 Reporter Amy Clancy state that Guros admitted to investigators his “sexual interest in children.”

That interest, according to charging documents, was evident in the 240 VHS tapes, dozens of DVDs, flash drives, cellphones, and computers seized from Guros' Ballard home earlier this year.

Guros purchased some of his illicit collection from an unnamed international company that specializes in "naturist films from around the world" that show images of nude children, according to investigators.

According to investigators, between July 2009 and April 2011, Guros bought 47 different items from this company at a cost of nearly $1,500. All of it was billed and delivered to his home on Northwest 58th Street, just across the street from a Catholic elementary school, St. Alphonsus, prosecutors said.

No one answered the door at Guros' apartment Tuesday.

But since KIRO 7 first broke the story, detectives have been sifting through the evidence seized, which included a video of Guros pleasuring himself while looking at "what appears to be a picture of child actor, Jonathan Taylor Thomas" who was in the television show "Home Improvement," according to documents filed in King County Superior Court.

The documents state that in interviews with police, Guros admitted he "possessed a couple hundred thousand images of children between the ages of 7-12" and that "he had possessed images of hard core child pornography, but deleted them."

When reached by phone at his office at the University of Washington today, Guros had no comment.

As for his employment status, UW spokesman Bob Roseth said Guros will keep his job also because no criminal activity apparently happened on campus.

When Clancy pointed out that Guros is paid by taxpayers at a state-funded university and police said he admits to possessing child porn, Roseth responded, "In our judicial system, people are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law."

Clancy also asked about Guros' admissions of guilt, as detailed in court documents.

Roseth said that if Guros is convicted in court, then the university will reconsider his job status at that time.

Rahne was able to make a few positive changes to make us more competetive vs. GA in 2015. Hopefully, he’ll be able to do something with our dysfunctional running game.
Recall that Georgia had the No. 1-ranked pass defense that year.

Be curious to see how the run philosophy changes, especially with Limegrover now in charge of the running game. Have a feeling he and Moorhead had some philosophical differences with respect to the running game.

Probably the aspect I look forward to most. Do you think we stick with the more downhill runs we used in our last two games or do we go back to the zone read primarily and perhaps block the plays differently?

And how about Akron, Georgia State, and Pitt? Not like those teams make anyone tremble.

Not so much about trembling, but they didn't face a lot of stout running teams. That's a fact. Doesn't mean we are going to run on them because we have had trouble running on a lot of teams, but it isn't a death sentence that we won't either.

But they built their stats against the Pac12, which is barely a step above the ACC coastal.

Also FWIW, Washington has a running back Myles Gaskin (listed at 5'10" 191#) who had more rush yardage than Saquon
Gaskin had 1282 yards, 6.2 yard/carry, and scored 19 TDs rushing and 3 Receiving

(Saquon 1134 yards, 5.7 yards/carry, 16 TDs rushing, and 3 TDs Receiving)

What do you think Saquon would do in the PAC 12..i would bet at least the same.

Remember last season's bowl games?

PSU lost to the 2nd place team in the PAC South
Ohio St. didn't manage to score a single point vs Clemson
Michigan lost to FSU
Wisconsin beat powerhouse Western Michigan

PSU lost a road game basically in the last second to a team that stomped you at home...IIRC...because that is all pretty much meaningless to be honest.

Do they ban posters for posting facts? If so then you're probably correct.

Not really...but maybe you think your loss last year is somehow better or will mean something...it's usually what stupid people post about. Meaningless crap, but hey...carry on as you think you're on to something there. I'll bet you really think that means the game shouldn't be played, love dumb trolls that come over with nothing but 8th grade BS.

Cut the crap. I replied to a stupid post about the PAC-12 being one step above the ACC Coastal.

PSU lost a close one in the Rose Bowl, bully for you.
Clemson is in the ACC Atlantic, not Coastal
FSU is in the ACC Atlantic, not Coastal
Wisconsin won against a team in neither the ACC nor PAC 12, not sure how relevant.
Other than that your post was terrific.

Just above Alabama, Wisconsin, and Michigan State. Saquon is going to have more trouble finding room to run in this game. I hope they get creative.

Last time we faced a stout defense with a week to prepare we gouged Michigan for over 224 rush yds and over 500 total. We have nearly a month to prepare for Washington, and should have a healthy Bates back on the OL. Washington will be a formidable opponent but have faith in the offense. We don't lose to OSU if Bates finishes that game or MSU if he plays the following week.

Three out of the four top teams in the B1G lost their bowl games last season. That's how it's relevant to the post I was replying to.

Yeah, but did you look at the results from last years bowl games...I mean the rosters are different for everyone, so are the matchups and locations....but other than that...it's the perfect way to project this game. Said nobody with a brain ever. 2 good teams will match up...should be an even game and one will win. How f--king hard is that to say or do for some...I'll never understand the idiots that think last years games are indicative of this year. Even more so with neutral (which PSU's game really wasn't last year) site games.

UW has a great NG Viti Vea. 340lb future first rounder. Doubt he can catch Saquon though
Vea may be the best DT in the country. He's a consensus Top Ten NFL draft pick. Amazingly mobile for his size. But the Huskies don't have anyone else near as good as him in their front seven.

There were 4 BIG teams in the Big 6 bowl games last year.. if Michigan won by one instead of lost by one and PSU won by 3 instead of lost by 3 would it really make a difference? The difference could be just home field.. Michigan played in Florida and Penn State played in USC's backyard. Buckeyes tanked.. but you guys only scored 7 more in your playoff game. Anyway.. it'll be fun to see how the teams stack up against each other. The one common opponent, Rutgers, gives us nothing. Getting some of our guys healthy and having a fresh Barkley will make it tough on any defense. I watched the Washington game at Arizona State. I wish I had gone to bed instead.

he may well be a top 10 draft pick. The draft is all about measurables, and not really about football ability. so when you wear roller skates to work you are pretty easy to block!! watch

Jeebus. The UW guy comes on here, sees several posts casing on the Pac 12, and submits a post noting, correctly, that the B1G did not exactly tear it up last bowl season. And people here are labelling him a troll for that? I'm pretty sure it is bowl season, and that PSU will be playing the Huskies in a bowl game. How shocking that a UW poster or two might want to visit this site.

Last year’s games mean nothing. This year the only common opponent was Rutgres. Washington won 30-14 at Rutgres. Penn State beat Rutgres 35-6 at the Beav.

Arizona will be a neutral site. It should be a great game with hopefully a little more action than the last time these 2 teams met in Honolulu 30 years ago.

Didn’t 3 of the top 4 PAC 12 teams lose their bowl games last year too?

EDIT-

USC beat PSU 52-49 (in 1 of the best bowl games of the year).
Washington got smoked by Bama 24-7
Colorado got smoked by Oklahoma St 38-8
Washington St lost to Minnesota 17-12
