PSU currently up by 9.5 points, if we wrestle to seed, PSU will gain +21 points next round in championship bracket.

Michigan has 3 wrestles left in consolations, PSU has 0. It would nice to see Micic and Ragusin (lose 1 of the next 2), and/or Parris in Blood Round.

Adding in the consolations:
133:
UM: #6 Ragusin vs #7 Byrd, Illinois

141:
UM: #24 Micic vs #12 Composto, Penn

149:
Iowa: #8 Murin vs #6 Millner, App St
ASU: #5 Parco vs #18 Artalona, Penn

165:
Iowa: #3 Marinelli vs #8 Congiliaro, Harvard

174:
Iowa: #5 Kemerer vs #8 O'Malley, Drexel

Heavy:
Iowa: #3 Cass vs #16 Elam, Mizzu
UM: #7 Parris vs #13 Orndorff, aOSU

Hopefully, we see the Hoffman that got pinned by Beard in 1:21 rather than the one who went to OT with Dean tonight. I'll take it as an omen of an impending National Championship that we are expected to win in 83% of our semi-finals tonight!

Tonight (excluding bonus points):

Scenario 1: Both teams win all their matches.

PSU 115
Mich 108

Scenario 2: Higher seeds win:

PSU 108
Mich 83.5

Scenario 3: Higher seeds win except each team suffers one upset loss in SFs

PSU 101
Mich 76.5

Scenario 4: Best “reasonable” case scenario (Higher seeds win except Ragusin loses to Byrd and Amine loses to Traux):

PSU 108
Mich 73

Byrd beating Ragusin tonight would be a nice assist.

If we win all the matches we’re favored, I have us with a 23.5 lead on the field. If we do that and Michigan has 24 bonus points left in them, then so be it.

Feels kind of silly to list Iowa’s matches - they augured in awhile back ;)

Well the reality is our destiny is firmly in our hands, and I like where we stand.

Parris losing was a huge equalizer as Kerk losing last few seconds to Cass in Bigs was looming large and I thought Parris was gifted a free pass to the finals. Well that's why they wrestle.

Anyone who is stressed just assume for the moment you are Michigan and looking at our guys, our seeds, our typical semis performance and of course our 'Cael'.

PS - I still think Vito takes out pushups, which would be a sweet conclusion to that soap opera.

I was trying to find a UM board to see their thoughts on the tourney so far. You wouldn’t know they have a wrestling team for all I could find.

I have Michigan with an extra point somewhere….
You are correct. I was shorting Ragusin a point.

+11 for Suriano (win and win)
+7 for Ragusin (win, win, lose, lose)
+4.5 for Massa (lose, win, win)
+11 for Amine (win and win)
+4.5 for Parris (win, lose, win)

That’s +38 to 62.5 = 100.5
