T'was the night before Christmas
And by the Nittany Lion grotto,
The wrestlers were taking their annual holiday photo.
Lion wrestlers were all wearing their best holiday clothes,
As Cael, Cody and Casey captured their very best pose.
With the photo taken and the wrestlers roaming about,
To keep them all present, Cael gave a loud shout!
Hey Cenzo, Nolf, Mark, Bo and Nick Lee,
Hey RBY, Nevills, Teske and Berge.
Hey Schnupp, Pipher and Anthony Cassar,
Come gather around, don't go very far.
Before we take time for some holiday cheer,
Let's review some highlights of this great wrestling year.
No NaTo, McKenna, Snyder or any Buckeye,
No Spencer, Kemerer, Stoll or any Hawkeye,
Impacted our Lions who wrestled without fear,
Seven national team titles in only eight years!
Nine out of ten individual champs - "How do you do"!
Resulting in team titles cause "That's what we do"!
Zain departs as 3x national champ, a true class act,
No match lost since 2014 and that is a fact.
Jason, Cenzo and Bo win second titles - yes indeed,
But no team title without Keener, Lee, Hall, Nevills and Rasheed.
And let's not forget that Ohio State dual in Rec Hall,
When Ryan's Buckeyes thought they had Penn States back to the wall.
It was looking tough missing that Jason Nolf fella,
I thought, man, I'm sure going to miss that Penn State wrestling streak era.
So without the availability of any 3 inch binder,
The Lions knew what was at stake, they needed no reminder.
Each starter did their part and the Nittany Lions won,
The crowd blew the roof off of Rec Hall - now that defines fun!
For some a 3 inch binder, robes or a pin chain are legit,
But wrestling at Penn State is "Not how we would do it".
So Happy Holidays to the entire Penn State wrestling clan,
Whether you're in State College, Arbua, Morocco or Iceland.
Just sit back and enjoy this great wrestling year,
And in March 2019 there should be plenty to cheer.
And Santa shouted "WE ARE..." as he flew out of town,
And a loud "PENN STATE" was the hearty resound!

Happy Christmas!
