Saw another Leftie article today referencing the Trump tower meeting. Decided to look more closely. The facts are 100% exculpatory and show the 100% lies of Dems.

1. The meeting was arranged by a publicist (Goldstone with past ties to the Trumps) who puffed up claims of Clinton wrongdoing with the Russians in order to help the wealthy father of a Russian pop singer.. Goldstone was 100% non-political. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news...wer-meeting-wrought-personal-toll/1356451002/

2. Goldstone made up an email that stated: "The Russian attorney, he wrote, had offered to provide the Trump campaign with “official documents and information” that would incriminate Clinton [in her dealings with Russia from p. 113 of Mueller rpt which has full email}. “This is obviously very high level and sensitive information,” he added, and was “part of Russia and its Government’s support for Mr. Trump.” So point of meeting was not to concoct a plan to collude with Russia but to find out past Russian dirty dealings with Clinton. [if they existed]

3. The real reason the wealthy Russian lawyer wanted a meeting was to find a way to repeal the Magnitsty Act which sought to punish Russian human rights offenders. The Russian lawyer who showed up knew zero about any Hillary corrupt activities with Russia and the meeting was simply a ruse to raise Magnitsky act claims.

4. There was no evidence that Trump knew of the meeting or was informed of it before hand. Also, of course, there was ZERO EVIDENCE of Trump and Russian govt working together. Trump sons were told of potential wrongdoing by Clinton and wanted to know what it was. Entirely legitimate whether obtained from Russian citizens or other sources.

Repeated references to this meeting are made by the Russiagate deniers, such as source cited by Lafayette Bear and are completely baseless. Shows their underlying fraud and dishonesty. Here is a link to recent MotherJones article using this meeting as evidence of collusion. https://www.motherjones.com/politic...ossier-and-donald-trumps-betrayal-of-america/

Great summary. It's also worth noting that this meeting was unsolicited from the Trump team's point of view. It retrospect it reeks of a setup for the fake russia gate narrative.

It wasn't a setup. If you read the publicist explanation, he simply puffed up the information to set up a meeting that otherwise probably wouldn't have taken place. The publicist was so non-political that he didn't even vote. Just trying to please his entertainment client and the clients father.

So Don Jr. went into the meeting expecting to collude with the Russians about the election. Exactly.

No he met with a Russian lawyer (not govt official) to find out if Hillary had been involved in corrupt activities with the Russians. What are they supposed to do if they find evidence of Hillary corruption? Do nothing and keep the voters uninformed?

In any event, if one assumes your crazy perspective, there was still no Russia collusion. If someone thinks about committing a burglary but doesn't, he isn't guilty of burglary. ZERO evidence of actual collusion anywhere, yet shameless Dem institutions and supporters peddle it, knowing that their base supports lying and wants to be lied to. Just like they lie about their policies not being responsible for an increase in crime. Sort of funny when you consider the people who used to keep track of alleged Trump lies.

One of Trump son's explanation to Mueller persecutors was that if they found any information, they would talk to lawyers to see what could and could not be used.

The head of Trump's campaign and Trump's son showed up at a meeting with a bunch of Russians in an attempt to get dirt on Clinton.
Obviously they thought the Russians were serious or such high ranking members of Trump's campaign and close family members wouldn't have been there.
And although there is no evidence that Don knew about the meeting, I have a hard time believing he didn't since both Jr. and Bannon were there.
Even veteran GOP operatives said it was an extremely poor decision for them to meet with the Russians and called it amateurish and naive.
And your post is consistent with this assessment.
Trump himself at the time was urging Wikileaks to release illegally hacked information, encouraging them to break the law.
But nobody ever accused anyone in Trump's nene circle of being deep thinkers.

What's wrong with that. That's what campaigns do. That's what the Trump tape talking about women was all about that the Democrats obtained. Dirt on Trump.

The correct course of action if approached by a foreign government who is attempting to Interfere in our election is to notify the FBI and refuse the meeting.

That of course is laughable when the person being contacted has morals that allow him to bang porn stars while his wife is pregnant.

No they don't, not directly anyway. The head on Trump's campaign and Trump's son should not have agreed to meet in Trump Tower with a bunch of Russian spies to try to get dirt on a rival.
That's a lot of top brass to show up at a cockamamie meeting like this.
Not only is it stupid, it makes a ridiculous meeting look like a big deal.
And it cast suspicion on the Trump campaign, especially since the head of Trump's campaign used to work for the Russians and that very guy, Bannon, was at the meeting.

Meanwhile , Hildebeast had her firm hire a disgraced British agent to contact the Russians for dirt and make up a dirty dossier. And that’s just fine. And the Obama Wh used the FBI, CIA, DOJ, the media, social media, and various Congress members to project and amplify the lies. And that’s ok.

Oh they also used the same government power centers to set up a four star general. And to leak Presidential phone calls with Mexico, Ukraine, and others. And undermine him on many foreign policies.

Hiring an agent is more par for the course. Having top members of a campaign meet Russian spies to get dirt on Clinton is a whole different level.
As for Obama and the DOJ, it was not publicly released during the campaign that Trump was under investigation.
So it wasn't done to hurt his campaign.
Trump was investigated because Bannon and Jr. met with Russian spies.
And Trump was publicly urging Wikileaks to release illegally obtained information, which was believed to come from Russian hackers.
It goes to show what a moron Trump is.
There was no reason for him to egg on Wikileaks, they were going to release what they were going to release, he should have kept his mouth shut, but instead he encouraged illegal activity and made him look suspicious.

Par for the course for Dems to hire an agent to lie to cover up another scandal. Whole purpose of Dems was fraud. Trump Jr. motive was to find truthful but harmful info about Hillary.

Your comment of course, doesn't follow through with all of the FBI lies and circumventions to get an illegal FISA filed.

Yep, tried to destroy Carter Page to get to Trump. Tried to set up Papadopulous with ten grand to blackmail him into setting up Trump. They tried just about every dirty trick and illegal scam short of assassination. Surprised they didn’t do that.

Sure, the FBI who gave Hillary a pass for her felony in placing state department emails on her private server. Also, the FBI working under the direction of Obama's attorney general. I am sure if there was real stuff out there, the FBI would be really energetic about getting the truth out.

Completely unrelated matter to whether or not Trump's minions for meeting with the Russians.

Not unrelated at all. Whole point of Democratic Russian collusion accusation was that it undermine democracy. Intelligence agency coups based on fraud and lies definitely undermine democracy a lot more than anything that the Democrats wrongfully accused Trump of doing.

You dummy. Fredo (aka Don, Jr.), Paul Manafort and Jared Kushner were ALL at that Trump Tower meeting hoping (no, praying) to get some good dirt on Hillary. Magnitsky Act, your ass. Bwahahahaha! You've already tried the Russian adoption angle, and that one flopped as well.

If you had read what I posted above and had the slightest knowledge of what happened, you would know that a publicist for an entertainer set up the meeting and grossly exaggerated what would occur to try to get a meeting. A Russian lawyer (not a spy) showed up to argue the Magnitsky Act.

For people with a little sophistication there are other elements that prove no collusion. However, at the most basic level, for rank simpletons, you can look at it as an attempted thought crime. (not actually true but principle applies) If someone has thoughts about stealing something but doesn't actually do it, he isn't guilty of stealing or burglary. Even if Trump people had thought going into the meeting that they might have had an opportunity to collude with Russia, they never did. Mueller report (based on 2,500 subpenas and undoubtedly millions of emails) found zero collusion.

Know you are too lazy to do this, but p. 114 of Mueller report specifically references Magnitsky Act. Still happy to respond to one or two incidents of collusion you can identify if you want to go beyond bloviation.

Nope, not even close. Trump tried to overturn the election, which if he had been successful would have ended American democracy.
And there was no intelligence coup and to suggest there was one is beyond ridiculous.
The agents who did not provide all the info to the FISA court were not taking commands from the Democratic Party.
They just wanted to investigate because they thought they were criminals.
Again, if Obama wanted to destroy Trump with the investigation he could have leaked he was under investigation.
Trumpers can't come to terms that their leader is a psycho so they excuse his bad behavior crazy conspiracy theories.
