Given Canada's history, I'm surprised that the player wasn't arrested. After all, Dave Winfield was arrested back in the 80s when he hit and killed a sea gull while throwing a warm up ball in to the bat boy between innings. They hauled him down to the station after the game and the GM of the Jays had to bail him out as Winfield didn't have enough cash on him to pay.
