It’s getting harder and harder not to abandon faith in the institutions we once regarded as respectable and relied on to keep the country moving. It is harder still to avoid rejecting unequivocally what has become their core governing premises, which seem to be entirely different from what we once believed them to be.

So here goes: the entire “climate crisis” is an opportunistic hoax; the entire “equity” (along with “diversity” and “inclusion”) movement is a corrupt fraud. This hoax and this fraud have permeated and overwhelmed every formerly respectable sector of American life, with disastrous consequences we’ve only just begun to feel.

This is a huge problem. Obsessive focus on climate and equity priorities, even supposing those to be important, obscures the essence of pretty much anything substantive one is trying to achieve and deflects attention away from whether or not a new product or innovation might have genuine value. We get it. Less carbon. More diversity. But does the proposed solution work?

Thanks to the obfuscating filters of climate and equity, separating useful ideas from monstrous scams is far more laborious than it should be. And all the while, the scams are getting bigger....

Climate and Equity Politics Will Destroy America

In the name of staving off climate change, the standard of living of all but the wealthiest Americans is being deliberately reduced by people who are utterly indifferent to the fate of the rest. This deliberate destruction doesn’t have to be understood as a conspiracy because so much of it is merely the logical response to an open, incessantly trumpeted “consensus” that appears noble in its aspirations but is diabolical in its impact.

It goes something like this: The climate emergency, along with the inequity of white privilege, are existential threats to humanity, and therefore both require a “reset” to put things right.

Another illustration of why the Green Revolution as envisioned is simply not possible.

Warning to libs: Data involved

Liberals tell us that we are in the midst of a transition from fossil fuels to wind and solar energy. The reality is that no such transition is taking place, nor will it. This video by Professor Simon Michaux, who doesn’t take issue with global warming hype, explains one of several reasons why this is true: the mineral requirements of a wind- and solar-based energy system can’t possibly be met.

This description accompanies the YouTube video:

The quantity of metal required to make just one generation of renewable tech units to replace fossil fuels, is much larger than first thought. Current mining production of these metals is not even close to meeting demand. Current reported mineral reserves are also not enough in size. Most concerning is copper as one of the flagged shortfalls.
Before the video, here are a few screenshots from it. This one shows the principal metals needed for a wind and solar energy system, and compares those requirements with actual production of those commodities as of 2019, the last “normal” pre-covid year. Note that 189 years worth of copper production, 400 years of nickel production, 9,921 years of lithium production, 1,733 years of cobalt production, 29,113 years of germanium production, and so on, would be needed for the first 20 years of wind and solar installations. Then we would have to do it all over again. Talk about a lack of sustainability!...

One last screen shot: the “green” energy vision would require between 6 and 7 times all the copper that has ever been mined through thousands of years of human history, for the first 20 years. That doesn’t count the current, growing demand for copper:

The bottom line is that no transition from fossil fuels to “green” energy sources is under way, nor will it occur, ever. The green dream is not just a folly but a fraud. Those who perpetrate it, like Al Gore, John Kerry, Barack Obama, Greta Thunberg, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and many others, are fraudsters who make Bernie Madoff look like Mother Teresa.

I would add Keynesian economics to this short list.
Also add the Democrat party.......slavery, Civil War, KKK, Jim Crow, segregation, several rounds of race wars, destroying the black family and cities,

Also add Russiagate.....seriously damaged Trump’s four years making it far harder for him to achieve his goals. Also prevented him getting a second term and leading to the total Disaster in Chief we have now. And it has destroyed Americans faith in the FBI, the DOJ, the election process, and government in totality. It will take decades to over come .....if it ever is.

It is quite interesting that not one single liberal from this board has responded in this thread. They refuse to argue facts. Their arguments almost always boil down to some sort of "feel good" persuasion. What little facts they chose to bring are usually distorted in some way so-as to support their position. Or they simply flat out deny the facts that are presented with no argument at all.

Which of the libs on this board will fall for it all over again?

I would argue that it is the same with the mass emigration around the world. Liberals would like you to believe it is driven by climate change. That's absolutely false. Look at the vast majority of countries that folks are emigrating from and I will show you a six fold increase in their populations since the 1960's. Europe and the US have barely doubled over that same period of time. And the gov'ts of those countries have not been able to keep up with the basic needs of those ballooning populations. THAT is the reason people are running for the borders.

They don’t care , they want power and most aren’t smart enough to grasp unintended consequences .

Good point. But add in they are fleeing the results of corrupt, socialist governments.

I most certainly agree, but there are a few instances where government spending can help people survive. The problem is that the left is now of the believe that they can play the wizard behind the curtain. Government spending is social justice!!!

I would argue that kind of help would have to be done at the state level. You simply have to resist centralization of power. IMO, the left knows all its feel good stuff does is make people dependent on more. They buy votes with our property and what they can't pay for, they borrow.

Keynesian economics gave cover to the statists. Even though it was rife with moral hazard, the statists created the false narrative that government could spend money more efficiently than the people who earned it. They danced around the tenth amendment. That created K Street, the military industrial complex, Big Agriculture, Big Education, Big Pharma, too big to fail banks and insurers. The list goes on. Republican or democrat, it really doesn't matter any more.

We've transformed our economic system from a horribly bloated form of crony capitalism to an all out corporatist, authoritarian state. It is my belief that Biden's role is to distract us while the globalists collapse the dollar. UN Agenda 2030 is a real threat. The US is the world's only hope and that's why they're taking us down so hard and fast.
