But it did happen in NY, CA, NJ, PA, MI.......

Will Joe Biden apologize for being so wrong?

When Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, a Republican, lifted his statewide face mask mandate and his limits on business occupancy in early March, Democrats warned that he was inviting a public health disaster. Yet a month and a half later, newly identified coronavirus cases in Texas have fallen by more than 50 percent, and daily deaths have dropped even more.

Meanwhile, states with stricter COVID-19 regulations have seen spikes in daily new cases. This is not the pattern you would expect to see if government-imposed restrictions played a crucial role in curtailing the pandemic, as advocates of those policies assume.

Abbott's critics did not mince words. President Joe Biden said the governor's decision reflected "Neanderthal thinking." Gilberto Hinojosa, chairman of the Texas Democratic Party, said it was "extraordinarily dangerous" and "will kill Texans."

One reason those dark prophecies have not come true: The practical impact of Abbott's changes was much less significant than his detractors implied.

Hmmm it’s almost as if these masks and lockdowns are doing more harm than good. Maybe fauci and the dems want that. They want a scared and compliant public they can ply with their insanse policies.

I have a family member that has been ridiculously inconsistent about her behavior with Covid. She didn't do any family functions for a year, but had no problem having her hair dresser come into the house to cut her hair. Even put her 85 year old mother in law at risk by inviting her up to get her hair cut as well.

She actually came out to dinner with us shortly after Texas opened up and belittled the decision. I chose to not respond to her stupidity. But I've certainly posted enough data about Texas post open-up that I know she has seen.

And as a wonderful side note to it - she had a horrible reaction to the first shot she got. I had to take the opportunity to point out that people who have a hard time with the first shot typically have had covid. It shocked her. She then responded "I must have been asymptomatic" and I said "which is usually the case". The family member who was most ridiculous about covid had covid and didn't even know it.

The vast majority of people who are getting Covid now are young people in the 20-40 age group. I'm sure plenty of their friends and family members in their age group are getting it and are asymptomatic. The only exceptions maybe be states like Michigan who locked down hard delaying their enviable date with Covid. Flattening the curve doesn't mean you are going to avoid Covid cases, you just get them at a later date.

Yeah and those people getting covid today ate the same that would have gotten other illnesses in the past... mainly due to their social norms.

People need to realize Covid is here to stay and the vaccine isn't going to impact Covid much long term.

People who die will still be dying from covid l.

Here's the worst part. The states that locked down and did the worse were rewarded with the biggest bailouts. So what did Cuomo do with the bailout money for NY? He used it to give $15k to illegal immigrants.

At any time in our nations history until now this would have been met with outrage. But now that enough people have been indoctrinated it makes perfect sense to them.
