The lasting personal damage is that it has made me sympathetic to Greg Schiano.
I could understand the Tennessee fanbase wanting a higher profile coach but tearing down a man's reputation based on flimsy unsubstantiated rumors is cruel and classless. I hope Schiano declines the offer and continues coaching at OSU. When I heard about this I had my doubts because Greg Schiano is a serious disciplinarian, he's big on coaching fundamentals and win or lose he believes in a conservative playbook.
I get that people might not like him as a coaching choice. But this? It's just not right.
I hear Butch Jones is recently available.
