i hate to say it (well maybe I don't), but CJFs time in the SEC has surely influenced his recruiting efforts. You could really see the impact last night as our speed tore apart UW's vaunted secondary.

Recently OSU has usually been the only Big10 team to have enough speed at the skill positions (and elsewhere) to keep up with truly elite teams, but we are recruiting a lot of fast, hybrid "athlete" types who can play a variety of positions that will bode well for success in the future.

The goal is not to out-slob slow Big 10 teams (and then get exposed in bowls) - the goal is to be able to compete with the Bama's, FSUs, etc. we'll still be a little behind the 8 Ball because our league doesn't oversign, but the talent gap won't be yawning.
