Speculation growing that Chase Young will be ruled ineligible for season

I'm sad about this...

This would just keep in from sitting out a bowl game to protect his health. That seems to be the trend the last couple of yours.

The NCAA has a long standing tradition of employing double, triple, and quadruple (plus) standards when it comes to certain programs. If they really couldn’t give 2 shits about someone like Dr. Strauss, what makes anyone believe they’ll step in to address a high profile athlete putting a little extra coin in his pocket before he cashes out next spring?

I don't see how a cash cow like this kid is gonna be kept off the field. Everyone is behind osu making everyone as much money as possible. A little detail like breaking NCAA rules is not going to get in the way of profits. Case in point their QB shouldn't even be playing right now!

"Sorry Penn State, I know you beat #1 OSU on the road, but they were without their best player, so we're going to have to drop you in the rankings"

You're right. The Committee will be looking for any excuse to get three ESPN owned network schools in for the third year in a row. And looking for every reason to keep us out.

We are still taboo to a lot of people. The most recent Franklin to a dumpster fire USC crap is indicative of how the National media and general public have turned a 180 on this program since the Sandusky incident.

Well, we'll see. But I have noticed that taking part of his senior year off seems to have helped Nick Bosa in his preparation for the NFL. Young is even better and quite possibly there is someone near as good waiting his turn for OSU.

Nope, Penn State never had the media love or we'd have at least a share of MNCs from 68,69,73, and 94. This is nothing new.

Surely Delaney will have any punishment deferred until next season, so Young is unlikely to miss any games. We know nothing negative will happen to the Buckeyes or their season.

Besides, doesn't OSU have Tyreke Smith and that 5-star freshman (Zach Something ... Harrison?) they can simply plug in and get 4 sacks?

Penn State controls its own fate. We win out and we are in. Period.

Probably not the NCAA. More likely OSU.

I agree. The NCAA has been neutered. Besides, if OSU takes/took the action the fan base can pound their chests at the awesome morality of the administration while screaming...".. at least we're not pedophiles". Mark these words

COLUMBUS — The Heisman Trophy campaign and the most dominant individual season in college football is on hiatus: Chase Young is facing an indefinite suspension.

Fresh off the finest performance of his career in a record-breaking win over Wisconsin, the Ohio State junior is now suddenly, shockingly unavailable for the nation’s top-ranked team heading into the final month of the regular season, according to multiple Lettermen Row sources. Poised to break the school’s single-season record with his next sack, the captain won’t be available to do it for the Buckeyes on Saturday against Maryland — and now the wait is on to see exactly how much time Young will miss.

Ohio State has not publicly commented at this point on Friday morning, and exact details about the potential NCAA violation remain unclear at this point. Multiple sources have indicated that the program is optimistic that Young will be cleared to return to Buckeyes this season, but a resolution for the matter still hasn’t been reached.

LOL...he'll "pay it back" and sit out the UMD scrimmage. The NCAA is a joke when this happens.
