Every year teams like Arkansas and Ole Miss are anointed the next big thing…then they go out and lay an egg. It’s like they solely exist to make Bama and UGA look better.

A&M is horrible, Florida overrated…who else? Tennessee? MSU? We hope Auburn is decent for SOS, but Kentucky may be the third best team in the league!

Not saying Bama isn't a machine…but look at Bama’s schedule and tell me what teams there are better than Iowa, OSU and Michigan?

The answer they’ll give you is everyone in the SEC is better! 😉

Most years, top to bottom, I think the SEC is better than the Big Ten. They certainly have more “name” programs which helps. When Tennessee, Florida, and Auburn are lousy Georgia, LSU, and Alabama are good allowing the ‘great SEC’ mantra to continue.

In comparison, when Penn St and Michigan are down the Big Ten is just left with Ohio St and you get the ‘1 team league’ stuff in response.

Thst said, you’re right. They hype the Ole Miss, Texas A&M, and Arkansas types each year who end up being very average but they’re always “great wins over a very good SEC team” to the announcers each year when Bama plays them.

Auburn is a pretty good team. Can we please allow ourselves to take credit for that win?
