Sad news on the passing of Paul Sherwen due to heart failure at the age of 62.

For non cycling fans, Sherwen, along with his broadcast partner Phil Liggett, has made the Tour de France come alive for American viewers for over 30 years. He will be missed, brought the Tour to life with his commentary and coverage.

Covered 40 TdFs

He and Phil, along with the gorgeous French countryside, made for good TV

Agreed....he made the Tour very enjoyable to watch, especially given how there are long stretches with little real excitement. Won't be the same come next July.

Major bummer. Had he been in a spot of bother?

RIP. Great broadcaster. A true gentleman by all accounts.
