We made their QB look like an all American in the 2nd half. Just awful pass defense. Gave up 34 points...in the 2nd half!! Wow!
You don't learn anything about your starters when they're playing against second and third stringers.

Our classy coach, who tried to lay another score on his opponent at the end of the 1st half when up by 34 points!, let his team check out at half time. Do you want to blame Riley for that too?? By the way, on the subject of class, how many coaches call a TO at the end of a game, up by 50+ points, to ice the other teams kicker?
It’s probably not the right thing to do in his part, but some of our young DBs also got exposed. When down 32 in he fourth and the other team is substituting liberally it’s probably best to get your younger guys PT too but it is what it is.

I was at the 81-0 game in 91, the Cincinnati coach had his starters in the whole game.

No. Nebraska only has 4 wins and as stated by someone else already has no chance for a bowl game. They have the Iowa game left and that's it. That was a good passing game practice session for Nebraska and they took advantage of it and executed. It was also good for Penn State's back-ups. They and the staff both have plenty to work on going forward. Reality check. Work hard and get better. It's not all on the DBs either. The whole scheme is in question.

Stupid post. You don’t give up when down only a few touchdowns with a whole quarter to play. Riley has a great rep for being a class act by everyone.

Riley did what any coach in his position would do. And I'm sure he appreciates Coach Franklin's
gift.
Glad he did leave his starters in, it meant our backups got to play against better players.
